Favorite Fort Worth Restaurants (2023)

January 12, 2024

Now that 2023 is over, I want to share my favorite restaurants in the Fort Worth area! Not only do I love selling houses, but I also love eating good food. 🙂

BEST IN TAKEOUT: ZAAP’s Thai Street Eats

Zaap’s just HAD to win this one. I’m pretty sure there was a time when Kevin and I ordered takeout from here at least once per week for several months. You really can’t go wrong with anything on their menu, but my favorite is the CURRY FRIED RICE. It has little crispy shallots on top, and the curry spice adds such a fun and unique flavor profile for fried rice. We literally drive from Aledo anytime we want Thai because nothing else will do!

BEST IN MID-TIER DINING: MARIA’S

I first tried Maria’s on a girls night, and let me just say: it’s a great girls night spot! Their skinny margaritas don’t taste skinny at all (and you really don’t need more than one 😄). I made mine spicy, which is always a good choice when it comes to margaritas. I ordered their Tres Colores Enchiladas, which they are known for, and for good reason. I don’t usually go for mole, but the mole enchilada was great. And the green one was also good. My favorite was the creamy one! The ambiance can be a little loud at times, but the floral and intentional decorations make the vibe fun and upbeat. Highly recommend.

BEST IN FANCY: QUINCE

Okay, we now that we have two kids, we don’t get to try out as many fancy restaurants. The only one new we visited this year was Quince, but it did not disappoint! It replaced Bartaco (which Kevin and I LOVED), and it is much more upscale than its predecessor. I loved the open patio to the river. We ate there for my birthday in May, and I was able to actually eat sushi! As a non-seafood-lover, I have always wanted to try a non-seafood-sushi, and Quince had a beef tenderloin option! SO that was super fun for me. Everything on the menu had a fun spin to it, so if you haven’t given it a taste, I recommend trying it out. It’s got a good vibe and good tastes. Win, WIN.

What categories do you want me to add next year? And are there any restaurants you think I should try in 2024? We don’t get out a ton, but if you tell me I need to go out and eat more, I’m not going to argue with ya. 🙂

"My husband and I were moving from Florida to Texas, with a very short window of less than a month notice. Amanda was able to find the perfect house, take videos and pictures, and we moved SIGHT UNSEEN. I cannot express my gratitude enough and would highly recommend Amanda."

- Meg

"Amanda is AMAZING to work with. What my husband and I appreciated most was the level of communication and transparency. She was an amazing listener and helped us select a lease that fit our needs, wants, budget, and etc. We are looking forward to working with her again to purchase our forever home."

- Briana

"Amanda has the drive and knowledge to alleviate the stress and anxiety found in most home searching processes. As we just recently found out my job is moving to Ft Worth, she helped my wife and I hone in on the type of houses we desired and also areas we would enjoy. Amanda listened to our needs and concerns and was able to give great and timely insight along the way."

- Michael

"From our very first phone call, it was evident Amanda was knowledgeable and qualified, but also warm and genuine. We never felt pushed or pressured and truly felt like Amanda was on our “side” in our house hunt. Highly recommend Amanda if you want a personable and trustworthy realtor!"
